  Our Programs
International Volunteers are welcome to volunteer in various educational and development programs in Nepal. Nepal is one of the developing countries in the world with almost one-third of its population living below the poverty line. Majority of the people are involved in agricultural activities that just provide them the subsistence level of livelihood. Hundreds of people in the rural areas are deprived of health facilities, education and transportation. By means of volunteerism, we aim to bring improvement and positive change in the communities. Your small contribution can bring a tremendous change in the lives of people. Therefore, we invite you to participate in the life-changing experience of volunteering in Nepal, and use your skills, time and energy for the benefits of the community.
   SEE VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS

International interns are welcome to participate in our unpaid internship programs in Nepal. We provide various internship opportunities to international students and professionals. We arrange your placement with Nepalese organizations or in the communities as per the nature of the program. You can have opportunity to gain working experience in your field of study and learn Nepalese culture, language and way of life.

Nepal Volunteers Council offers Academic Semester (1 Month, 2 Months, 3 Months) or Year-long (10-month) programs for gap year students to live and attend schools/colleges in Nepal. We welcome foreign gap year students to study in Nepal. Students live with a host family or in a residence hall, experience life and culture, and make friendships. They can study in High School or colleges. We provide ongoing counseling and supervision during the program.
